Team Member Spotlight
What does a qualified painter do?
A painter is a skilled tradesperson who specialises in many different painting skills such as prepping, taping, patching, gapping, sanding, rolling, cutting, and touch ups. So, what does a typical day as a Painter look like?
To answer all these questions, we had a chat to Daniel, he gave us the inside scoop about what life as a qualified painter is really like…
An average day for Daniel starts at 7am and ends at 3.30pm, Daniel starts his day by preparing his tools and his van and heads to the job site. Daniel then consults with the rest of the team about their goals for the day and what they hope to achieve. Daniel spends time thinking ahead on how best to perform the task to get the best outcome.
When we asked Daniel what some of the highlights of his role were, he told us that he enjoys planning and doesn’t mind what sort of work he is doing, as long as he is learning. He also enjoys developing others, spending time learning how to do things better.
And the worst part of Daniel’s job? Daniel doesn’t really have a task he doesn’t like, however, he said that it is sometimes a challenge to find the balance between perfecting an outcome and doing what is required as he takes alot of pride in his work.
Daniel hopes that one day he will be able to step into further leadership roles in the industry, Daniel values his own growth and development and is open to many possibilities.
